ZivoCloud terms of service
Updated 21 September 2026
These terms apply when you use ZivoCloud and its modules — Zivo Tutor, Spelling Bee, Zivo Games, Foreign Languages and RoboCode. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you are using ZivoCloud on behalf of a school, you confirm you may accept these terms for that school.
Your account
An account belongs to one person. Keep your password to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has it. You are responsible for what happens through your account.
Accounts for learners under 18 are created and managed by a parent, carer or school. That adult is responsible for the account and may ask us for access to, correction of, or deletion of the learner’s data.
The free trial
Every new account starts with seven days of full access to every module. When the trial ends you keep the free plan unless you choose a paid one. We do not ask for payment details to start the trial and nothing is charged automatically when it ends.
Plans and payment
Paid plans run for one month or one year from the day the payment clears, and the checkout shows the exact date your plan runs until before you pay. Prices are shown in United States dollars.
No plan renews by itself. When a plan reaches its end date it simply stops and the account returns to the free plan. We email you before that happens. To continue, you buy another period yourself. Renewing early extends your existing plan rather than replacing it.
Payments are handled by Paynow. In Zimbabwe you can pay by EcoCash, OneMoney, InnBucks or card; elsewhere the checkout offers card payment. Paynow, not ZivoCloud, processes your payment details; we never see your card number or wallet PIN. We keep a record of the amount, the plan and the Paynow reference, and email you a receipt once the payment clears.
Refunds
If a payment is taken but your plan is not activated, tell us and we will either fix it or refund it in full.
If something on the platform does not work as described and we cannot put it right, write to us within 14 days of the payment and we will refund the unused part of that period. Because every account gets seven days of full access first, and because no plan renews by itself, we do not otherwise refund a period that has already been used.
Refunds are returned by the same method you paid with. Ask through our contact page.
Using ZivoCloud properly
Use the service for learning and teaching. Do not attempt to break into other people’s accounts or our systems, do not upload material you have no right to share, and do not use the service to harass anyone or to post content that is unlawful or unsuitable for the young learners who share this platform.
Code you write in RoboCode runs in a sandbox. Do not use it to attack other systems or to work around the limits we place on it.
Your work, and ours
Work you create — projects, code, written answers — stays yours. You give us permission to store and display it so the service can function, and so a teacher can see the work of a learner in their class.
The lessons, courses, questions, artwork and software that make up ZivoCloud remain ours. You may use them for your own learning or teaching, but not republish or resell them.
AI features
Parts of the service use AI to explain, mark and generate practice material. AI can be wrong. Treat its answers as a study aid rather than as a final authority, and check anything that matters. Where a teacher marks work, the teacher’s decision stands.
Availability
We work to keep ZivoCloud running, but we do not promise it will never be unavailable. We may add, change or remove features. If we make a change that materially reduces what a paid plan provides, tell us and we will refund the unused part of that period.
Ending the agreement
You may stop using ZivoCloud at any time and may ask us to delete your account through the contact page. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or that puts other learners at risk. Where it is fair to do so we will warn you first.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law does not allow it to be limited. Otherwise, our liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms we will update the date at the top of this page. Where a change matters we will tell account holders by email before it takes effect.
Disputes
If something goes wrong, tell us first — most problems are quicker to put right than to argue about. Write to us and we will work with you in good faith to resolve it.
Nothing here removes the protection your own country’s consumer law gives you. If we later need to name a governing law as the service grows, we will update this page and tell account holders before it takes effect.
